Senior Software Delivery Manager

Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products that help keep people safe. Originally focused on the underground coal mining industry, Matrix has expanded into new industrial markets in the United States and globally.

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Deliver Manager who will be primarily responsible for coordinating and managing the entirety of the software development process and ensuring success by coordinating teams, resources, and assignments. This position works in a team environment at our Lexington, Kentucky office. This is not a remote position.

This position reports to the head of the Analytics Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing a base of procedural requirements, schedule, and incorporate different project plans into a single overall project plan, where requirements can be changed and evaluated for all projects
  • Overseeing multiple project teams to divide work into manageable tasks, so that cost and delivery of the project can be as expected.
  • Evaluating consumer feedback and instituting changes as necessary to manage expectations
  • Ensuring that operations are cost-effective and are within companies’ budget
  • Act as liaison officer between multiple unique teams to build partnerships and develop solutions

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, architecture, database design, software engineering, or any other related field. Postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the technology development space, with at least five years of experience using software delivery management tools.

Software Competencies

  • Must have experience using SCRUM and AGILE techniques
  • Experience managing large and complex databases for company use
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience using business intelligence tools eg. PowerBi or Tableau

Skills Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several ongoing releases at various stages.
  • Established experience with project management programs, SCRUM and AGILE techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to ensure on-time delivery
  • Ability to adapt to new languages and technologies
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Experience working with Model View Controller design patterns, Object-Orientated Programming
  • Experience using relational databases
  • Ability to navigate and work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present concise and accurate information to team members, staff, customers, management, etc.

Working Conditions

The general working conditions for this position is a climate-controlled office environment and the noise level is low.
