The Accounting Intern will work directly with company employees and management and be exposed to a variety of domestic and international accounting, finance, and general business processes throughout the company. The exposure is intentional and will allow the intern to evaluate which business operations are best suited for their skillset and likewise allow company management to evaluate the intern’s ability to provide value in furthering company success. This is a paid internship.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completion of company overview training.
  • Management of assigned projects.
  • Assist with month-end accounting closing and resulting reconciliation process.
  • Assist with demand planning and purchasing process.
  • Assist with physical inventory.
  • Assist with custom reporting and presentation development.
  • Assist with improving multi system reconciliation processes.
  • Assist with documenting processes via narratives and flowcharts.
  • Assist with researching and documenting company business development initiatives.
  • Assist Administration with any duties deemed suitable.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Accounting, Finance, or Business degree candidate.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Good problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
  • Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Good ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Good time management.

Working Conditions

The general working conditions for this position is an office environment. It will be necessary from time to time to visit the warehouse where safety precautions will need to be taken. While in the office, the noise level is usually low. However, the noise level can be low to moderate in the warehouse.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift items up to 10 pounds.
