We are currently seeking a proactive and creative Internal Communication Specialist Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in internal communication strategies and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and information sharing. This position works in a team environment at our office in Lexington, KY. This is not a remote position.

This is a paid internship.

This position reports to the Director of Communication.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal communication plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Create and edit content for internal channels, including newsletters, emails, and the company intranet.
  • Support the organization of internal events and initiatives aimed at promoting employee engagement.
  • Help gather and analyze employee feedback to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging across all internal communications.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving communication processes and tools.
